Regardless of the season you are experiencing, I invite ministry leaders such as pastors, church staff members, denominational leaders, chaplains, and non-profit ministry leaders to onboard some self-care and join several of your colleagues and ministry partners as we experience the Gathering of Silence.

People will ask you, “How was it?” or “Did you really spend that whole time not talking?” They might dismiss your stories of awe and amazement or become so intrigued that they explore a retreat for themselves.

The leadership of your retreat may have various ideas and activities planned, but I believe that “less is better” for these events.
